Library Filming Policy

All filming for commercial purposes requires a City of Santa Monica filming permit. All projects must be approved by the City Librarian. If approved, filming may occur within the Main Library and the Branch Libraries during non-business hour only. All preparation and clean up must also be completed during non-business hours. Decisions regarding filming will be based on the potential impact on the ability to provide consistent, quality library service to the public.
