contact information. Includes a list of agency Web links.
Gebbie
Media Directory 7,000 links to print and electronic
media on the Internet and 2,800 e-mail addresses for Radio and TV
stations as well as links to Internet/computer related magazines. Tips
on public relations and internet marketing are also included.
Interactive
Advertising Bureau Global, not for profit association
devoted exclusively to maximizing the use and effectiveness of
advertising on the Internet. Articles helpful for people who wish to

ClickZ Resources: Ad Resource Guide
Lists resources for the Web advertising and
marketing community. Web marketers can use the site to do research,
build contacts, and keep up to date on the latest happenings in
Internet advertising.
DoubleClick
One of the major online advertising companies for Web
advertising, DoubleClick focuses on solutions that make Internet
advertising work for Web Publishers and Web Advertisers. A great site for large advertisers but not really for the smaller
e-merchant.
ValueClick
Provides services for both hosts and advertisers. Also provides
performance-based banner advertising to advertisers and Web
publishers based on the "cost-per-click-through" pricing model.
"Advertisers pay only when a person 'clicks' on a banner to their
Web site, giving them a cost-effective solution for attracting
targeted, high quality customers."

- Advertising Age
Weekly newspaper of the
advertising industry. Annual reports: Agency Report, Top Brands, Top
Agencies Media Billings, Top Foreign Agencies, etc.
- Adweek
Publishes edition for each of six
regions, e.g. the West, with national and local news of interest to the
region. Also published an agency directory.
- Bacon's Media Directories: TV/Cable, Radio, Magazine, Newspaper
Not as comprehensive as some of the above directories but each
directory gives more information for the particular media outlet.
Extensive personnel listings. Arranged in multiple categories.
- Bacon's Metro California Media Directory
Combines
newspapers, news services, magazines, TV, cable, radio, freelance
journalists into one volume. Indexed by media and personnel. Basic
information for each media outlet including a "profile"
statement that describes the editorial policy.
- Broadcasting and Cable Yearbook
Comprehensive
directory to radio, television, cable stations, networks,
syndicates, etc.
- Standard Directory of Advertisers
Companies
arranged by product classification. Information on companies includes:
address, telephone, fax, officers, products, divisions, sales, ad
agency, etc. Index by company and brand name. Contains ranked list of
top advertisers and top agencies.
- Standard Directory of Advertising Agencies
U.S.
agencies with address, telephone, fax, executives, billings by media,
accounts. Contains ranked list of agencies and lists of media service
agencies, public relations firms, personal names. Special market
index.
- Standard Rate & Data Service
Separate
directories give advertising rates for various media: consumer and
business magazines, radio and television, newspapers and community
publications, direct marketing lists. Useful for both advertising
costs and market profiles.
