American Management Association  Information on AMA products and services.

BPR Online Learning Center  Provides Business Process Reengineering information such strategic planning and managing change. Some free information but most leads to the toolkits and templates that are for sale.  It is a good site for those who wish to purchase such products.

BRINT: Business Researcher's Interests  Links to informational sites on all types of management. 

Institute of Management and Administration  Articles on sites on management in law, human resources, credit, accounts payable, and more. Links to management sites; discussion groups.

Knowledge@Wharton  Knowledge@Wharton is a bi-weekly online resource that offers the latest business insights, information, and research from a variety of sources.  Includes analysis of current business trends, interviews with industry leaders and Wharton faculty, articles based on the most recent business research, book reviews, conference and seminar reports, links to other web sites. 

Value Based Management Resource Center  The purpose of the site is to educate the user about the basic concepts of value based management.  Provides in-depth articles as well as diagrams of concepts.

Selected Management Libraries:

Cornell University Management Library  Company information, annual reports, industry information, statistical data.

Lippincott Library @ Wharton  Wharton is a leading school of business in the U.S. and its library provides a variety of resources online such as Research Guides, Business Reference, and Selected Business Web Sites.  Electronic journals and databases require a University of Pennsylvania library card.

Marshall Library Management & Consulting Resources  Marshall School of Business at USC provides a number of useful links in the area of management.  The library's electronic databases are available only to students or faculty.

Purdue University  Management resources including annual reports, corporate information, statistical information, and management resource indexes.

Rosenfeld Library  The library of the Anderson School of Management at UCLA. Useful links include: Consult a Librarian, Basic Business Sources, Virtual Book Shelf, Resources by Discipline, and Research Strategies.

In the Library:

Some books on management by prominent writers. To check the availability status or to place a hold, click on the title.

For additional titles, consult the Library catalog under subject headings like: "Management," "Sales Management," "Managerial Finance," "Personnel Management," "Management by Objectives," etc. Most management titles are sorted by the type of management that they pertain to, i.e. bank management.

Journals: Look for Harvard Business Review, which contains practical articles on management topics by recognized authorities.

  • Business & Company Resource Center
    Provides indexing and full text for many management journals in specific areas such as Administrative Management, Group & Organizational Management, R & D Management, or Warehousing Management. It also provides more general titles like Management Quarterly, Management Today, Managing, and Managerial Planning.
     
  • Infotrac OneFile
    Large periodicals database featuring full text and citations for newspaper and magazine articles. Includes many business & management related publications.
     
  • Newsbank
    Search for full text newspaper articles on management. Consists of two databases: America’s Newspapers, which indexes the full text of the Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, Christian Science Monitor, Orange County Register, San Diego Union-Tribune, USA Today, the Washington Post, and the San Francisco Chronicle from roughly 1985 to the present; and Noticias en Español, which provides full text articles in Spanish.

Search tips: In addition to the general subject heading "Management," try more specific headings such as: "Management Decision Systems," "Industrial Management," "Marketing Management," "Management Science," or "Planning."
