Assistance and Complaints, Edgar database (Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and
Retrieval system, performs automated collection, validation, indexing, acceptance, and
forwarding of submissions by companies and others who are required by law to file forms

Sedar SEDAR (System for Electronic
Document Analysis and Retrieval) is the system used for electronically filing most

many reference resources have valuable information that help the investor determine trends

performance to 1990.
- Investor's Business Daily
Daily
newspaper that covers companies, industries,
potentially successful stocks, and developments
in the economy, as well as providing analysis of
national news stories.

Contains dividend data and is published in
quarterly issues.
- Standard & Poor's Statistical Service
Offers both monthly current statistics and
annual statistics.
- Standard & Poor's Stock Reports
Quarterly publication that covers all
U.S. exchanges and gives a two page report on each company with a balance sheet, per share

Lists ticker symbols alphabetically by

- The Stock Market Encyclopedia (Standard & Poor's)
Also quarterly and
gives shorter reports covering much the same information. Additional information offered
by the Stock Market Encyclopedia are selections of stocks with five straight years

contrarian selections of stocks with low price/earnings ratios. Another valuable section
features Income Selections with companies ranked by yield, stocks with fastrising

- Value Line Investment Survey
Key source for stock information. This
investment advisory service analyzes and reports
on companies in over 90 industries, providing
statistics, charts, and explanatory text. It
contains ranked lists of "timely stocks," best
and worst performers, highest and lowest PEs, etc., and
offers advice on investment policy, business and financial outlook, and recommended stock
purchases. Value Line has an excellent reputation for the accuracy of its
recommendations.
