Family Services of
Santa Monica
Licensed clinical social workers provide individual, couple, family, and
group counseling to address a broad range of issues, including anxiety,
depression, marital relationships, loss and bereavement, substance abuse,
sexuality, career changes, life transitions, illness and disability,
separation and divorce, and parenting. Family Services is a division
of Vista Del Mar Child and Family Services below.

Health The County provides clinics, field services, and
hospitals with services for children and adults. Use the site to
locate a list of providers who are fluent in languages other than English as
well as a complete list of service providers. The

Connection offers easy access to services, fact sheets, self-help,
legislation and other information for anyone needing help or concerned with

Didi Hirsch Community Mental Health
Center Provides mental health and substance abuse services in
Los Angeles County, regardless of ability to pay. Services include
crisis intervention, substance abuse treatment, and delinquency prevention. |
Jewish Family Health Services of
Santa Monica This organization is a non-profit, non-sectarian
agency serving individuals and families. It is nationally accredited leader
and offers a wide range of mental health services to people of all ages |
Vista Del Mar Child and
Family Services Vista Del Mar serves children and families in
Southern California who suffer the emotional, physical, psychological and
social consequences of abuse, neglect and abandonment. |
Wright Institute Clinic
Offers psychotherapeutic services to the local community based upon the
client's ability to pay. It is one if the few agencies in Los Angeles where
affordable, long-term psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapy as well as
briefer psychotherapy is readily available. |

National Institute of Mental Health
The most useful information for the consumer are the Health Information
Quick Links on topics like anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, etc.
Information on each topic includes a description of the disorder, symptoms,
treatment, and where to go for help. |
National Center for Post Traumatic Stress
Disorder Includes fact sheets about the disorder, clinical
research, specific information for veterans of the war in Iraq, and
assessments. One useful feature is the "Most Popular Pages" that
allows you to quickly find topics of general interest. |
Neuropsychology
Central Despite the rather odd look of the initial Web page,
this site has a lot of useful information on brain injuires and disorders.
It offers general information, FAQs on diagnoses and treatment, a forum for
posting questions or discussions, and links to other sites with relevant
information. |
Anxiety Disorders Association of America Information about the
various types of anxiety disorders, how to get help, and self-help tools.
The site assists you in finding a therapist or a support group in your area.
Good reading room with a recommended list of titles. |

information and assistance here. Facts about disorders and
medications, live chat, support forum, Internet resources, self-help
tests--even a psychology blog. The site is a member of the
International Society for Mental Health Online and subscribes to HON (Health

Classics in the History of
Psychology Full texts of a large number of historically
significant public domain documents in psychology and allied disciplines
available online. The site provides over 25 books and about 200 articles and
