American College of Sports
Medicine While primarily of interest to professionals, the
site provides good information for consumers including expert commentary on
sports health. The free, online
"Current Comments"
cover topics such as blood clots during exercise, stress fractures, or

American Sports Medicine Institute Another Website primarily
aimed at professionals that has a wealth of information for anyone
interested in sports. Check out the
Research Section's
excellent articles on the biometrics of specific sports (e.g. baseball)
or joints (e.g. knees) complete with diagrams. |
American Academy or Orthopaedic
Surgeons Consumer education is a goal of this professional
Website and the Patient Education Library is front and center. Browse
by category (injury prevention, children, arthritis) or select a body part
from the interactive diagram. Easy to use and easy to understand, this
