The Santa Monica
File
(part of the Library online catalog under the Santa Monica History
heading) is a selective index to the Outlook
from the early 1950s to March 13, 1998, when the Outlook ceased publication.
It also contains citations to a variety of books and magazines that have historical
information about Santa Monica. The Index covers the Our Times section of
the Los Angeles Times from its beginning in March 1998 to its cessation in
September 2000. Current indexing is available for the Santa Monica Mirror.
Indexing for the Mirror begins with the first issue of
the newspaper on June 24-30, 1999. The Santa Monica File is the only
available index to the Outlook and Our Times.

A link to the Santa Monica File appears on the
Library home page in the blue sidebar
menu. You may also consult the
Santa Monica
File online from the Library Web page
under the link to
Online Databases. Scroll to the
bottom of the list and click the link to
Santa Monica Index.
The Santa Monica File can also be reached from inside the
Library Catalog,
iBistro. From the catalog window select the link
in the dark blue bar at the top of the page to Santa Monica
History. Under the heading Santa Monica History and
Current Events, select the link to Santa Monica Index.

mentioned in the Santa Monica File may be found in the Main Library
Santa Monica Collection or in the Main Library Periodicals Department. The Past:
