Animal Information 

Index of animals, illustrations, organizations, and publications.  Offers profiles, status and trends, data on biology and ecology, and references and links to many animal sources.  The country index offers information on rare and endangered species in different countries around the world.  Included are many links to animal sites.

American Kennel Club 

Information on dog breeds, choosing and caring for dogs, dog training, health, nutrition and grooming, emergencies, first aid, and more.  Also includes a calendar of events, quotes about dogs, and dog humor.

Butterflies

Specifically devoted to Monarch Butterflies, this well-organized and easy-to-use site offers in-depth information on butterfly biology, life cycle, migration, and conservation, as well as many links to butterfly sites.  

Electronic Zoo 

Extensive, in-depth information on animals such as amphibians, birds, pets, domestic and farm animals, exotic pets, and wild animals.  Best site for finding information on animals.

Fish FAQ 

Find answers to many general fish questions from the National Marine Fisheries Services, with emphasis on shellfish such as ocean shrimp, crab, and lobsters.  This site also has good information on sharks.

Pest Management and Identification 

UC Agriculture and Nature Resources database offers information on how to manage pests of agriculture (fruits, vegetables, grain, etc); floriculture (flowers, plants); and soil (landscapes), as well as pests of home, people and pets.  Also lists diseases, symptoms and chemical or organically acceptable treatments.

Spiders

Intended for children, this site is informative, well-organized and illustrated.  Find basic information on spiders, such as: anatomy, food, life cycle, web building and more.  The homepage plays the "Itsy Bitsy Spider" song.
