FINWeb Provides links

Web, and links to other finance sites. Managed by James R. Garven, this
is primarily a collection of links.
FRED Federal Reserve Economic Data
provides historical U.S. economic and financial data, including daily U.S. interest rates,
monetary and business indicators, exchange rates, and regional economic data for the
Midwest. For West Coast regional data, use the
Federal
Reserve Bank of San Francisco.
Security and Exchange Commission News and
information plus EDGAR database of corporate filings, regulatory
actions, and information for investors.
Financial
planning
American Express Financial
Advisors Offers interactive tools, stock reports and
recommendations, financial case studies, hot topics, and links to other sites. The site
markets American Express financial products but the professional advice and
recommendations are free and high quality.
Financial Planning Association
Primarily for professional planners, but offers some excellent
information for consumers. You can check what CFP™ certification
means, read articles on financial planning, use a Resource Directory to
locate firms that deal with various types of financial planning and
instruments, search for a financial planner, or get information that
will help you choose the correct planner for your needs.
Financial-Planning.com
Interactive online financial planning newsletter. Guests have access to Newswatch, FP
Discussion, Events, New Product announcements, and FP Sourcebook. Subscribers ($59 per
year) get the full newsletter and its archives plus additional informational and
educational features.
NAPFA Consumer Services The
National Association of Personal Financial Planners offers a Consumer
Services area with tips on choosing a financial planner (the
"tough" questions to ask) and working with a financial planner
once you have one. NAPFA will also help the consumer locate a
"fee only" planner free of charge.
Understanding & Controlling Your Finances Designed by Marshall Brain, the site "is designed to help you understand what the word
'finances' means, assist you in figuring out your financial options, and
show you how to manage your
financial resources more effectively." Includes a variety calculators and links to other
financial planning sites.
Yahoo! Finance Market news,
stock research, finance education, mutual fund news, and more. Also
includes a Personal Finance section where you can do online banking, pay
your bills, manage insurance, etc.
